Refund policy

We understand that shopping for living plants online can come with uncertainty. While we always strive to deliver healthy, true-to-type plants, our return and refund policy has to be different from typical online stores due to the nature of the living plants we sell. We offer conditional refunds in the form of store credit under certain circumstances.

Returns

Due to the perishable nature of plants, we do not accept returns for live plant material.

If your plants arrive damaged, incorrect, or in poor condition, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at zondervlei@gmail.com with clear photos and your order number.

We will review and either replace the item or issue store credit, at our discretion.

Refunds & Store Credit

Approved claims may result in:

  • A store credit for the value of the affected plant(s), or

  • A replacement in your next order (subject to availability)

We do not offer cash refunds for live plants.

Refunds or store credits will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Plants were not collected or unpacked promptly upon delivery

  • Incorrect planting, care, or environmental conditions caused decline

  • You changed your mind or no longer want the item

  • Plants from other growers (will be clearly specified)

Substitutions

If a plant becomes unavailable at time of dispatch, we may:

  • Substitute with a similar variety (unless you specify no substitutes), or

  • Issue store credit for the unavailable item.

Other Conditions

  • Orders are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis while stock lasts.

  • Prices are valid until the end of the current growing season (March 2026) or while stocks last.

  • All items are sold as bare-root stock, unless stated otherwise.
