Shipping policy

We ship living, bare-root plants (ex-ground), cuttings, and rooted plugs. We do not send plants in pots.

Order Processing & Lead Time

We process and fulfil orders manually. Please allow a lead time of up to 7 working days from the time your order is placed for processing and dispatch. This gives us time to prepare plants and arrange shipping.

Sales Season

Our growing and dispatch season typically starts in September, depending on plant type. Some varieties (such as Bearded Irises) may become available earlier, from August. The season runs until the end of April, or while stock lasts.

Packaging

Most plants are sent ex-ground (bare-root), meaning they are lifted from the soil, trimmed down, and shipped without soil/substrate. We typically select younger, more compact plants to keep parcels lightweight and affordable.

Some plants are sent as cuttings or rooted plugs.

For a visual explanation of how plants are packed, please visit our Shipping & Packaging Info page.

Shipping Limits

  • Maximum of 30 plants per shipment

  • Maximum of 3 plants per variety for Inca Lilies

Larger orders are welcome but will be split into multiple shipments accordingly.

Delivery Areas & Timeframes

We currently only ship within South Africa. Delivery times vary by location but typically take 1–4 business days after dispatch. Please ensure someone is available to receive the parcel to avoid delays or stress to the plants.

Shipping Costs

We display a single fixed shipping fee on the site (for example R109) so you can see the shipping charge before you place your order. The displayed fee is charged per shipment. If your order must be split into two or more parcels (for example if it exceeds the per-shipment limit above), an additional fixed shipping fee may apply for each additional parcel.

We use fixed shipping rates. In some rare cases, a follow-up invoice may be sent if actual shipping costs significantly exceed the estimate (e.g. very large orders).

We offer free shipping for orders over R1000.
